About RealMandates
RealMandates is the accountability layer for AI agents: governance software that makes sure every consequential action an agent takes is authorized by a human mandate and owned by a named person.
Mark Tack, a six-time CMO and author of Marketing Rebuilt.
In the Chicago area.
Because most AI governance still lives on paper. A real mandate is authority a person actually grants to an AI agent, with their name attached, for actions that actually happen.
No. It governs what agents are allowed to do. It does not build them.
Many governance tools focus on models, policies, and documentation. RealMandates focuses on the actions agents take, and on making sure each consequential action has a human mandate and a named owner.
Mandates and accountability
The authority a person grants an AI agent to act within defined limits. It sets what the agent may handle as part of the team, what needs approval, and who is accountable.
Guardrails limit what an agent can do in general. A mandate grants authority for specific work and names the person accountable for it.
An agent action that reaches a customer, spends money, changes a system of record, or speaks for the company.
The leader accountable for the outcome the agent affects. An owner is always a named person, never a team.
No. Routine actions run within the agent's mandate. Human decisions are reserved for consequential actions.
Shared work and measurement
How people and an agent share a given kind of work: observe, recommend, draft, or act.
Through a track record, like any new team member. Agents take on more when their work consistently matches what the accountable person would have decided, and less when it does not.
The share of observed, in-scope consequential AI agent actions that meet the organization's authorization, approval, and named-owner requirements. RealMandates proposes 100 percent as the operating goal, read alongside governance coverage.
Because the metric measures accountability, not accuracy. Every consequential action should have an owner, even when agents make mistakes.
The product
The RealMandates product: the accountability layer that sets agent mandates, routes consequential actions for decision, and records who owns each one.
It is designed to govern agents wherever they were built. Design partners help decide the first integrations.
No. It governs the AI agents that work across those tools.
Marketing is the first focus. The same accountability applies anywhere AI agents act, including sales, service, operations, and regulated industries.
No software makes a company compliant by itself. RealMandates is designed to help you show human oversight of AI agent actions.
